What is the first thing you want to see on your visit to Rome? Don't tell me you still don't know! We do know ... the Colosseum! And if we tell you that you might see it without realizing your way to your accommodation, how do you stay? That's what happened to us on the last trip to our favorite city, when we were going to the Apartments Marco Aurelio 49.

So the trip could not start better! Before even leaving our backpacks we had already contemplated one of the 7 wonders of the world. Because one of the best things about this accommodation in Rome is its location, a few meters from the Colosseum itself.

We say of the improvements (in the plural) because it has many! These apartments, with a unique personality, are located in a sturdy building in the historic center of Rome, with solera Vamos. The area is quiet, with some restaurants and pizzerias (that of “Pasqualino al Colosseo”, just around the corner, has the Marguerita pizza at € 6 and they are very tasty!), Several pubs, an ice cream parlor, etc. And a step away are the typical tourist restaurants of the Colosseum and the Monti neighborhood, with many options for a drink and with a lot of atmosphere.

But let's go to the mess, how are the apartments? We were in the so-called "Hiroshige", on the fifth floor of the building, and we loved it! If we had to describe it in a sentence we would say that it has nothing simple. With many details, a very curved decoration and all possible amenities: TV floor, A / C and heating, WiFi, a free-use tablet, huge and comfortable bed, a very curious fireplace, a desk to work, a super complete bathroom , etc.

The room consisted of two rooms, one proper for the bedroom and the other with two huge couches that can also be used as a double bed, for groups of up to 4. It also has the kitchen, with fridge, Nescafe machine, blender, stove and all cooking utensils, and a dining area with table and chairs.

From the room there is an exit to a very nice terrace, yes, when the weather allows it, but going out here to have morning coffee, with the little sun on top and the “oh sole mine” playing on the mp3, it has to be the most!

Every day they clean and leave breakfast for the next day, replace the capsules of the coffee maker and change the towels. At the reception Salvatore attended us from 10!

Worst? The stairs! Being an old building, it does not have an elevator and you have to climb to piedi. We were on the top floor, the fifth, and since the third we had the blushers on our cheeks, but come on, it is a perfect excuse to eat a good pizza without falling into your conscience, you will know that half the calories You'll burn them when you come back! Anyway, there are apartments on all floors.

Now that we write about the Marco Aurelio 49 Apartments, we are getting a tremendous desire to return !!
