Day 25: YAKARTA - AMSTERDAM ...

Today is the "weirdest" day of all trip to Indonesia. We have set the alarm clock early, because our flight leaves at mid-afternoon and we want to take advantage of the morning in the city, since there are enough things to see in Jakarta.
Although we have been told that it is not worth spending an hour in Jakarta, we want to see for ourselves ...
We went down to the restaurant for breakfast and we found a very large buffet, but already too crowded (as it has happened in Gili Trawangan) for what we are used to.
We fill our stomachs and after catching up on the news with the laptop, we take a taxi at the door of the Hotel Santika Premiere Jakarta to take us to what will be our first stop on the day of Jakarta: Taman Fatahillah Square.
It took us a little more than half an hour to get into a chaotic traffic, but enjoying the views so different from what we have been seeing these days.
We pay about 4 euros to change when we cross the street we face one of the most beautiful squares we have seen.

We do not know why, but it has a special atmosphere, which gives us very good "vibrations".
One of the things that catch our attention are the colored bicycles they have in the Betavia coffee part. They are impeccable, so people can rent them and shop around or take pictures.

Our idea was to enter Betavia coffee, one of the most famous, if not the most famous of Jakarta. But seeing what time it was and that we had just arrived, we decided that we might approach later.

After having a good time watching the life that happens in the heart of the city, we set off to Sunda Kelapa, which is the port, where the Makassar pinisi are located.
To get there we have to go through the Kali Besar, which is the channel that crosses the city of Jakarta.

After a while walking and after asking a couple of times if we are going in the right direction, we arrive at the entrance of Sunda Kelapa.
At this time in the morning we are dripping from the heat that it is.

We stayed here for a long time, seeing images that seem to be anchored in time.

It's a little after 12 in the morning, so we leave Sunda Kelapa and right at the same entrance, we take a Blue Bird and tell him to take us to Monas, with the intention of seeing that area before leaving for the hotel new.
It takes almost another half hour to arrive, both for traffic and distances, which are truly enormous.
