Our trip to Cinque Terre took us back to a country like Italy, to which we try to return whenever we can.
In this case we will do it to one of the areas that we most wanted to know, but to which we expected to have enough days to enjoy it in peace.
We have chosen fly from Girona to Pisa, since this flight has perfect schedules to take advantage of the getaway, they leave at the last minute of the day and the price is the most adjusted.
We will arrive in Pisa on Friday night with the time to have dinner and go directly to our hotel.
The second day we will travel by train to La Spezia and from there we will take the train again or maybe boat to Monterosso al Mare, the last town of Cinque Terre, where we will stay the next two nights.
This same day we will visit Vernazza, where we want to reach on foot and return by train.
On the third day of this getaway we will take the train again, the best transport option in this area of Italy, since cars are prohibited in the villages, to reach Vernazza, from where we will walk to Corniglia.
One of the things that most catch our attention Cinque Terre It is the possibility to enjoy these walks with incredible views to get from one town to another.
If you give us time, this same day we want to enjoy one of the most beautiful walks in the area, the Paseo del Amor, which will take us from Manarola to Riomaggiore.
On the fourth day we will make the route by boat to La Spezia, where we will stay and in the afternoon we will visit Porto Venere, another of the most beautiful places in the area.
The fifth and last day of our trip to Cinque Terre we will visit some of the towns of the Gulf of the Poets, to move late in the afternoon to Pisa by train, from where we will catch our flight back home.
The best time to travel to Cinque Terre is the spring and autumn seasons, since in these we are not yet in high season and you can enjoy the landscapes and villages without the accumulation of tourists.
On this 5-day trip to Cinque Terre we canceled the return flight and we had to stay 48 more hours in Italy, which we took advantage of to return to Florence, one of the most incredible cities in the country.
