2. Excursion to Yosemite, one of the best excursions in San Francisco
At our route through the National Parks of the Western United States We had marked in red the visit to Yosemite National Park, one of its most emblematic parks.
Yosemite is formed by a spectacular valley surrounded by large granite mountains, El Capitan being the best known. 4. Excursion to Muir Woods and Sausalito
Half a hour's drive from San Francisco is Muir Woods National Parks, famous for its forest of huge redwoods. These trees that can reach 150 meters high and be over 1000 years old are one of the wonders that you can enjoy in some parks in the Western United States. In our case we saw them in the Sequoia National Park and it was one of the most unforgettable moments of the trip.
But if you do not have a car and want to visit them more comfortably, in the Muir Woods forest you can make several marked hiking trails between redwoods.
