Steep curves in the famous Lombard street of San Francisco - United States

One of the most typical images of San Francisco, in you trip along the west coast of the United States, is undoubtedly the streets with its very steep slopes. In these streets you also find another of the icons of the Californian city, its historic cable trams.

But, where can you see the steep streets of San Francisco?

Its famous slopes extend along the district of the Nob Hill Hill. It is a downtown district of the city, located between the Downtown (urban center) and the coastal district of La Marina.

Nob hill You can visit it well with your rental car, or if you do not have it, or you prefer, you can ride on one of the cable trams that have now become an attraction for tourists, ranging from the aforementioned Downtown to Fisherman's wharf, in La Marina.

In you visit to the hill of Nob Hill, you should not lose the Lombard street, very famous for having been the protagonist of many films. It is the street that has so much unevenness, that the descent by car is done through large and steep curves.
